Who is this site designed for?
It's primarily a site designed for all A level ICT courses run by AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC and CCSE Exam Boards. There are many topics, however, that appear in other courses run by all Exam Boards, such as GNVQ ICT, A Level Computing and GCSE ICT.

What variety of tests will I find in this site?
There are a wide range of tests, included timed and untimed tests, multiple choice and short answer tests, read and answer questions tests, true / false tests, selecting the correct term tests, putting sequences in the correct order, crosswords, jumbled definitions and much more. The tests are conveniently grouped into topics. Each topic has a set of tests, which use the same user interface. Tests also cover many levels of ability.

Who marks the tests?
A test is marked by the computer as soon as a student has completed it. There is absolutely no marking for the teacher to do! Feedback is instantaneous.

Will this site work on my Intranet?
Yes, absolutely. The code is primarily html and javascript. It takes two minutes to load up the software on to your Intranet. In four years of business, no one has every been unable to load up our products.

How do I get the site for my students?
Simply click on the Shop link for details. You can print off a pro forma or just get the details, and then order using your school or college's normal ordering procedure. Please note that we do not sell to individual students, only educational establishments. Once we receive your order, the entire website will be despatched within 24 hours on a CD. When you receive it, your licence and instructions, simply pass them to your Network Manager. They will put the contents of the CD in a folder on one of your servers and then create a link to the index page in the folder from your Intranet. It takes two minutes. There are no fancy configuration settings to worry about as the site is pure html and javascript.

How are the tests marked?
When a student does a test, they will lose marks if:

  • they don't answer the questions correctly first time around and then have to redo some of them.
  • they use Hints or Clues, where they are offered in a particular test.
