GCSE Computing Test Papers

LogoComms_and_networkingJust released! A set of tests for the OCR GCSE Computing course. These are formal paper-based tests that can be used at the end of each section of the theory unit as well as at the end of the entire unit of work. They can be used to provide a formal way of testing pupils, giving both your students and you a valuable opportunity to assess progress and to identify areas which may need further work.

Each test covers the theory for that particular section. The questions in each paper and the style of the paper mirror what pupils will experience in their actual exam.

Each paper comes as a pdf download. You can then print off as many copies as you want, again and again, year after year.

A comprehensive mark scheme comes with each paper.

You can download a section 211 (Fundamentals of Computer Systems) test paper now by clicking this link. (The mark scheme is not included in this free sample).

Please note that we have deliberately not put a time on the paper for each test. We know that you will want to adjust this yourselves, depending on your students and the length of your teaching periods. We would suggest a time of between 30 and 45 minutes to complete each section  test and between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes to complete each whole unit test.
